This is a beautiful day-experience to the region of Corinth. You explore the ancient mighty town of Corinth with its two ports; one in the Corinthian and one in the Saronic Gulf. You walk on the fortified hill of Akrocorinth; with beautiful view. You visit Ancient Nemea, where according Greek mythology Hercules has vanquished the monstruous lion and enjoy a wine tour in one of the most important viticultural regions of Greece.

ITINERARY

Early in the morning you leave Athens and you pass to the Peloponnese via the Isthmus of Corinth; where you stop for a while and visit the site. You will next get to the excavation of the ancient city of Corinth and visit the site and the museum. You will have the opportunity to visit the fortified hill of Akrocorinth overlooking the area and go for a scenic walk. Next stop in the Corinthian land is Ancient Nemea, where you visit the sanctuary of Zeus and the site of the ancient Nemean Games; celebrated to honor Hercules for saving local people from the man-eater lion. As you are in one of the most important viticultural areas of Greece since antiquity, it’s time for a wine tour and testing.
